Dick Splash 23
I'm just curious, and this is not meant to disrepect their website, but why haven't Ubi supplied this, the more senior sight, with the GR2 logo designs instead of sending it to the other and then us having a link to it? magnumkp 0
Perhaps GR2.com asked for it? They knew it was available as it was in the intro flash.
Dannik 43
As far as I know, we were second to get the official logo. The Platoon got it first.
WhiteKnight77 1
Rocky could get the files if he wants them. Ya never know, but he may have them already.

Rocky 1,224
I'm just curious, and this is not meant to disrepect their website, but why haven't Ubi supplied this, the more senior sight, with the GR2 logo designs instead of sending it to the other and then us having a link to it? A few points to address there DS. We are not senior to GRtwo.com in any respect other than age. Other than a friendly Ubi contact I have here in the UK, Ubi doesn't give two hoots about this site - I never hear from them - ever. I better stop there or I might start coming across a little bitter So anyways, don't be surprised that they never sent me the logo, I never receive anything from Ubi in the USA. At the end of the day it doesn't matter who get's the news first, as long as the news get's out to the fans, and that's what we are here for. The wierd thing about this "community" is that considering the succes of GR (GOTY etc), it has only even had a small amount of fansites, compared to some other titles. Which is a good thing for the fans because you only have to have a few GR bookmarks rather than 20. Having said that - you can expect to see a raft of new GR2 fansites opening up over the next 10 months or so. Opening them is easy however, keeping them online is the hard part
Matt03 0
You would think Ubi would give some scoop to this site every once and a while. Seeing as Rocky has spent a lot of his time keeping this community alive and well. Anyway as long as the news gets here I am ok. This is the only GR site I go to. So keep us posted. NightCrawler 137
Reading this thread reminds me that I haven't said Thanks Rocky for quite some time...Thanks Rocky this is still my favorite place to hang out on the net.
ghostrecon50 0
I agree with Nightcrawler. In fact I dont think I ever said thanks to Rocky. So here we go . Thanks for all your work and dedication. Its also my favorite place to hang. :punk:
WhiteKnight77 1
If ya want to start a Thank You thread, go for it (I am sure that there are a couple around here already as it is), but lets try to keep this about GRTWO.com. Thanks.
Dannik 43
Some folks seem to have issues with us 'upstarts' at GRTwo.com. Fair enough, as we are new in terms of a fan site. Mind you, the boss over there has been a contributor to the official GR forums since basically day one, and is an official Ubisoft forum moderator. I've been (although not as of late) a GR ladder player since Desert Siege hit the shelves. I was a bit late in getting to GR. We are not trying to take the fan site crown from GR.net. That's a foolish notion to even consider. Instead, we are trying to provide an alternate look at the game we all know and love. It's not that GR.net is lacking in any way, shape or form, instead it's our desire to compliment this fabulous site. We're all friends here, after all. We all want the same thing. Ghost Recon 2. We may want different things from the game on occasion, but it's the frothing need for the game that drives both places, along with 3dRetreat, Damn R6, etc. (apologies if I missed you, I was generalizing). Don't take this as an 'official' statement, just a friendly commentary. We might steal some thunder on occasion, but do a websearch. GR.net is the place, and rightly so. If anything, we're just trying to lighten Rocky's hosting bills.
WhiteKnight77 1
I have no problems with it and respect y'all as y'all respect us here, JP has been a fixture here besides leading the Ubi GR forums. Dannik, you have helped me as well as others here and I know you will continue to do so as well as help those out at Ubi and GRTwo.com. I know y'all aren't trying to take anythng away and it's great to have another place dedicated to GR show up. Hopefully y'all at GRTwo.com will be able to last as long as there is a GR/GR2.
