standalone 0
Can someone explain to me what this utility does in idiot's language? I think the reason the lighting in one of my maps isn't working is because I am not using this tool, I am using the lighting editor too, but I know what that does. ........... deleyt 0
With this tool you can set all kinds of tags that are specifically for textures. For instance the foliage and water effects are set here. You can also animate or scroll textures. Additionally you can set surface-tags (for sounds) and the blending of the alpha-channel. Some settings can be done aswell in the map-editor but some can only be set here. Gradually you'll see which tool is most usefull or the fastest for which job. I use it primarily to set my surface-sounds and animations as it can be done very quickly here. It is also very usefull for testing the different blending-effects. You can leave the RSB-editor open together with GR.
standalone 0
When you talk about the "map editor" are you talking about the one in IGOR? or are you talking about something that I don't have?
deleyt 0
The map-editor is the plugin you use inside 3D Studio Max. You can find it on your IT-CD. It's called Level-exporter I believe but most call it map-editor here.
