budgie 1
My home PC has some kind of virus/worm/spyware that Norton can't detect; Whenever I log onto the net, all my pages are a week or so out of date. The problem is compounding so in a week they'll be two weeks out of date. For Yahoo, the news is about 5 days old. For GR.net, the latest posts are about 7 days old. I can't read the latest stuff, not even my own posts I've tried antivirus, deleting cookies, clearing history and retyping www. addresses, but no dice. I won't see any answers posted here until I get to my office PC on Monday. please email me with any solutions: curriecraig@yahoo.co.nz
Brass 0
I dunno guys what do ya think. Maybe sotophantome or white knight might have some better ideas. I myself can only think that this could happen with cached pages. Either cached server problem at his ISP or on his local box or even his ttl @ his dns server is set way way high. he is deffinately getting internet access to even post his problem. so what do ya think should we have him flush his dns & change servers. Clear all cache on his computer. and ask his isp if they have a cache server? dunno Brass
budgie 1
found I can fix it by hitting refresh each time I go in, but that doesn't make the problem go away altogether: I still have to do it every time.
WhiteKnight77 1
The only thing I can think of is reinstalling IE. If you have dumped your cookies and cleaned out the old stuff already and still have these problems, a reinstallation sounds like the key to clearing everything up.
