calius 0
I posted @ NV forums regarding the new drivers for nvidia (were out yesterday according to nvida site) - heres the dilema I posted : Can anyone shed any light on this at all. I have TI4200 8x agp card with 128 mb ram & asus a7v333 mobo bios'd to 1017. I have been using since I got my 3d glasses 45.23 driver & stereo driver all works great. I saw updated 3d stereo for 56.56 & downloaded it with the 56.56 grahics driver .. 3d stereo would not work on the medical test or in game (ghost recon, Raven Shield). Although it did flicker & glasses did also flicker & dim as they should, but no 3d. So I reverted abck to 45.23 & all was ok again. I now see the update for 56.64 graphics & 3d stereo driver, so I installed (uninstalling older drivers first / rebooting bla bla). And the medical test yet again is the same result as 56.56 driver - no joy. So I un/re installed 56.64 drivers for the hell of it & still no medical test working. I took some 3d screengrabs with 45.23 stereo driver of in-game shots and have them stored. So I clicked on a few & low & behold they work!!! It views all the 3d grabs as they should look. So I thought, well, medical test might be playing up but it works, so I loaded ghost recon to set convergence settings etc. Switched on 3d in-game ..... and it doesnt work!!?? ###### is happening here? It odd - the glasses dim & flicker as they should, but the screen doesnt flicker. Infact the only way to explain is the split image doesnt seem to overlay as much as merge together on the screen & you just get double image - with no flicker. Why does this not work nor medical test, but when I view my 3d screen grabs taken with 45.23 stereo driver - it all works ok?? Is there a known registry fualt, a driver / system tweak to try ?? Anyone can you help??? Well anyone with a TI4200 card, does it all work for you?? I know Rocky and others on here use 3d glasses, FYI the drivers are on nvidia site to download, but ... anyone with 4200TI card with similar problems or better still all wroking, please inform em what I can try to sort this out. Jackal 0
I have the same problem with GR with the new 56.56 drivers and can't run the old version of the drivers because my FX 5950 ultra video card will not work with them. It seems to be a problem specific to GR as America's Army works great in 3D with the new drivers and even works with the 3D crosshairs! The 3D crosshairs increase accuracy over the 2D version, which can be turned off via the AA settings. I have no problems with the medical test image and it looks like GR in 3D with the new drivers is my main problem. Accordingly, I have been playing AA a lot more than I used to All help appreciated! calius 0
Check the NVforum thread I started regarding this, I sorted it out .. looks like RivaTuner does the trick ... as I say rather than explain again check the thread (link below) also I added links to a good 3d stereo forum. Hope it sorts it out, well, it will - just needs a kik in the nuts. NVFORUM Thread Edited March 21, 2004 by calius

KalibrE 0
Hi, I've got a strange 3D issue with the new 56.64 drivers. The 56.64 drivers work fine themselves until I install the 56.64 3D Stereo drivers. Once the 3D drivers are installed I just get flashing missing textures and then my PC hangs regardless of whether i'm in 3D mode or not. It does this on BFVietnam, Halflife2 and on Unreal 2004, so it's a definite issue. I've tried RiveTuner but still with no luck. I even tried using the old 45.23 stereos with the 56.64 chipset drivers. Any ideas? (Oh Ti4400 btw)
