When I started modding there was a tutorial around about weather changes in igor that helped me change the envioment of existing maps but I soon found that it would help change from night to day or vice versa. Some hints though you have to change the color of the fog to black (looks funny if you dont) change the sky and the distance that the bad guys can see. try to use other night maps as a guide. also what will be very helpful and make the map nore nightish will be to darken the textures (please only do that if you have permission of the author) and/or use the lighting tool. (one of these days somebody is going to show me how to use that stupid tool) last but not least if you do change the textures look on gr.net download page fore a skinner tool. no night to day modder should be without it. it will deassociate the texture from the original map so you can associate it with your map case in point made an awsome night map for ghosttown only to find that I had black ground durring the day looked really funny.

I dont have a clue of how to start....never done it before.

Is there any tutorials available on this matter?

I need to convert some maps into night.

Please help this poor map newbie...... :(

Thanks in advance.....

Don't do any of the [Ghost Recon] maps. "Firestar's Total Reversal" modification has already retextured the day into night and night into day.

If you are going to do it, do it on the Desert Siege or Island Thunder maps since those haven't been reversed yet.
