Community Expansion Pack

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Hopefully this is the correct forum for this request...

You may (or may not) have noticed in your forums (Gen Mod Topics) the desire by some of the community for creating a Community Expansion Pack. I won't go into the painful details of it (as you can see it for yourself)... but I would like to outline some of the goals:

This CEP in it's first form will be tool that modders and players alike can use. This mod will provide people with a common tool that will allow them to play any number of countries troopers, weapons as well as maps, sounds etc...

This tool, if used my modders will streamline the mission creation and distribution of their mods by indicating the need for DS, IT, patch 1.4 and CEP.

We are in the process of approaching some of the very best modders out there to contribute in any way to this project.

Once the first part is accomplished, we will push on with a view to using all of the common tools of Ubisoft games to create a community GR2, one that would include as many as the "wish-list" items mentioned in all GR2 topics.

With all this in mind, I was wondering if you'd mind supporting this endeavour (keeping in mind that this is a community prject, not an individual one). Perhaps the best way (if even possible) is by creating a page on your website that would allow contributors to upload their material for inclusion (not download).

Any assistance or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

I'd like to see this come to fruition within a few months. What we lack right now is definitive support from different angles. I've said it before but is the gaming community for Neverwinter Nights at NWvault can come up with this stuff AND be supported by Bioware (the game's creator) then I don't see why we can't with gr.net even if Ubisoft doesn't give us( the community) the time of day.

So if you're interested havea read of the forum in General Mod topics, put in your two cents (or volunteer some help). This is after all supposedd to be a community project... so the more input the better.

As for gr.net support...still waiting out.
