Dedicated Server and problems

Recommended Posts

Running a dedicated server on my 1.7ghz machine, into router to 3mbps cable.

Opened ports, set up dedicated correctly. Runs great, friends join, we play.

Then suddenly, one by one, everyone drops to the "multiplayer screen" of ghost recon with no reason.

The server has not dropped, my game has not crashed, they did not crash, the connection has not been broken to the net.

Strangely I always drop first and they can continue playing for like 10 secs until they drop also.

Ideas?

Also, how do you start a dedicated server on a remote server? We are renting a 2.4 ghz server and the damn thing always wants us to insert the CD to start up the dedicated server? How do you bypass that or fix it?

Thanks!

Crow
