Thats a Statement from the Devolopers and so I'd go with that If I were You. While I'd say that anything can happen - I choose to believe that They will deliver the Goods today. The German IT-news site Golem.de is featuring an official JoWood press release about the game and demo. Translation of the first paragraph: After several delays, it appears that the tactical Multiplayer-Shooter Söldner: Secret Wars, developed by Wings Simulations, finally will be released in May 2004. Today, April 5 there will be a beta demo available, unfortunately for players in the US only. Wings Producer, Udett Schaffrath confirmed that this is an official press release from JoWood. Udett Schaffrath: "What Golem is reporting is correct, this is an official press release from JoWood. At the moment we are busy with the final tests for the master file" If dedicated server software is being released as well, our mothersite WOLFGaming.net will also host a passworded demo server for your enjoyment! **Update:** We just got confirmation from Udett that the dedicated server software will be released, so we will host a server! This was also just confirmed by Teut on the German forums. **Update 2:** KGN just got off the phone with Jowood and reports that the demo should be released around 5pm CET (11am EST). Thanks SWN. And just for clarification, the demo will be playable worldwide, but it will be exclusively in English and there will not be any official European servers until the European demo is released. An unconfirmed source has cited postponement of the demo slated for today due to unforseen problems with configuring the master distribution file. This source also went on to say that tomorrow will not be a likely release either. There are also Posts saying that in the U.S. It will be DL'able by 1700 E.S.T. or 1600 C.S.T. Today.
