the.ronin 5
one of the (minor) reasons ive drifted away from gr is that i got my hands on an xbox. i just got ninja gaiden. very sick stuff. you can get totally cornered by a bunch of baddies and you can pull this move where you disappear and end up bopping dudes on the heads and reappearing behing em where you can unleash this mad sword blow. usually causing some heads to roll. literally. ill usually get bored after the first few hours of playing a xbox game (except for rainbow 6) but this ones a keeper. Sgt.Crocodile 0
I used to play Ninja Gaiden back in the 90's in my old (and missed) SEGA Game Gear.
the.ronin 5
i think if you win the xbox game at some level, you get to unlock the old-school versions of the game. actually never came across it at all ... i just saw the box at the store with the slick lookin ninja dude and i had to have it. i highly recommend it - people are saying its probably the best fighting game ever put out on any console. budgie 1
I'd like to see a PC Ninja game in the vein of Thief or Hitman. Think about it - creeping around feudal Japan, assassinating Lords and fighting other Ninja. The multiplayer value would be limited - rather like the saber duels in Jedi Academy - but the SP campaign could be a cool little set of stealth missions.

the.ronin 5
budgie, i was thinking more along the lines of a tactical squad-based ninja game along the lines of gr. if you think about it, all weapons are silenced by default so you can carry on some mad ambushes against ridiculous numbers. the title? The 47 Ronin cpl, thats prolly the most logical thing. heck, that splinter cell dude looks kinda like a high-tech ninja, no?
