I am using Windows XP, Aol 8.0 on a 56k. when i try to play multi i can see the ip addresses and games but i everytime i try to connect a box comes up saying connecting... then it says cannot connect Unknown error. can someone please help me? i would really love to play this game online. i have tried to play on UBI but that did not work either. thanks. WhiteKnight77 1 Posted March 7, 2004 Share Posted March 7, 2004 Are you trying to join servers with any mods activated? Is your built in firewall disabled? I am not sure, but AOL may block the ports from GR (don't quote me on this though). Remeber that any servers with DS or It and or mods activated will not let you join. WhiteKnight77 1 Posted March 7, 2004 Share Posted March 7, 2004 Mods are additions to the game made by gamers (we have a very large forum devoted to mods and modding). You will have to call AOL to see if they are blocking any ports (the ports for GR ar 2346-2348) and if so, see if they will open them for you. What exactly is the error you are getting?
