Hello there again,

I read the pdf file and according to it u got to

1) set a helper point

2) name it , for example "^fire_medium_type2"

3) group it with your room

I did all of this, but after numerous tries it just doesnt work..........

i changed heights of the point etc.....

<_<

ideas?

Make sure you insert the helperpoint in the top viewport.

Also, check the nametagging because it's case-sensitive.

What I do is copy the name in the PDF and paste it into 3DSM, that way I'm sure the name can not be spelled wrong.

In addition, some effects are not looping and play really fast.

So if you place them and you spawn, chances are that the effect was already played.

Try a couple of other effects that loop or play slower, see if it works then.

If it does, jump back to the one you wanted in the first place.

 ???

Seems correct. Should work. Don't know why it doesn't

This is what I do and I *usually* (but not always) get my fire:

1) Set a helper point *in top view*

2) name it ^general_type33

3) group with the room it's in.

IIRC Smart Tools v2 has a effects maker (I think). Take a peek at it.
