command map problem

Recommended Posts

I really hope that someone else has had this problem :D

I build my command like it says in the PDf. and it looks great in game. once i add it to the env. in IGOR. but when i go back to IGOR and try to put in all the points all i see is a gree and blue dots were the command map should be. I have had this problem with the last 2 maps i have made. any ideas??? again it looks good in game and the rsb is a flat image. but in IGOR it is a green and blue dots, like static. :wall::wall::wall:

Does it work properly in game?

Perhaps you didnt set the coordinates up correctly, so in game what you are seeing isnt actually where it all actually is. Then in IGOR it is so far off according to the offsets that it isnt visible and all you see is static. Try plotting some waypoints in game and see if they correspond to where they should be. I could be way wrong on this, I havent seen anything like that before.

it works fine in game. i am just off a little on the lining it up in IGOR to the way points.

I was succesfull in the first map i ever made. but ever sense then i can't get it to work in IGOR. i also make sure it was 512x512 in size. but it looks great in game. :wall::wall::wall:

any other ideas???????????????

i passed it on to another person and they have the same problem as i do. so it is not just my computer. or my igor.

Is there some kind of special set up for the command map. it is a flattened image and saved as an RSB and it is 512 x 512. it looks fine in game, and like static in IGOR. and this holds true on at least 2 different computers.

is there a patch or newer version of IGOR other then what came on the GR cd? i also have DS and IT installed as well.

well i took this approach

To test your .rsb settings, open a stock command map, paste your new one over it and save it with the settings it defaults to.

and then i renamed it to what i wanted and it works fine. i am not sure what i was doing wrong or what setting i had missed. but it seemed to work . thanks for the advice. I will try to get some webspace soon and post a pic just for fun
