Jack57
I am not familiar with this particular mod but the best thing you can do in these situations is make a copy of your Ike.log (immediately after the crash) and email it to the creators with a description of the problem. Cheers, Jack ps: that's the Ike.log and NOT the IkeCrash.log - strange I know!
Blackalliance
Are you refering to armored core 4 or 5? Mission 5 on armored core 4 is buggy, at least with me. Mission 10 on "Taskforce Thresher Project......" (aka armored core 5) I have not gotten to yet. I just finished mission 4 last night; I should be able to check it (mission 10) out by the end of the week. Just unlock the other missions with notepad and play the remaining missions "Quick Mission style" or whatever it's called when you play one mission at a time and not in a campain. Oh yeah, Jack57....Ninja "Armored Core 4 & 5 Maker" is not around for now, check the recent news. Oh, hey... Post Cards from Peru...Nice, very nice- Big thumbs up- thanks for the mod!!! Peanut_Budder
actually let me take this back, there are more faulty missions 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 do not work
hippeis
If anyone is playing armored core 5(taskforce thresher project), and has beaten mission 9(stalking tiger), how did you do it. I have tried several different strategies and approaches with no success for the past few days. I'm almost ready to throw my comp through a window. I am able to get to the terrorist and seize the plans, and then I exit the building but the terrorist wont follow me and he blows up. Any ideas...? Otherwise, it's a great mod. I am playing Armored Core 5. Crap, I couldn't even get my guys or myself out of the Blackhawk when it lands during mission 7. I can stand but can't crouch under the fuel tanks to get clear of the chopper. I played mission 8 and started 9 this morning before work, so I'll see what happens tonight. Yes, this is an awsome mod, I dig the widescreen chopper insertion sceens. I hope theres somebody that's willing to try and fix some of the bugs, maybe the FL-AVA team? (Because, as we know, Ninja is busy)
hippeis
Mission 7 was hard to start, I reloaded at least a dozen times. I finally came to the conclusion that I couldn't get everyone to the ground alive, so I took all the soldiers I wasn't using in the campaign, except for my alpha. Once you get away from the blackhawk, it's not that hard, but I'm clueless on mission 9.
Blackalliance
Well, it seems like cheating but, if you bump down to veteran difficulty ........(Here's what I did) This is a playback of me finishing mission 9: Alpha team - one man with a M4 SOCOM and sensors - I really didn't use anyone else important. Starting at the northern insertion zone - Go east to the outer edge of the map and follow the outer edge of map south. Quickly, three shots, three kills to the group of enemies near the railroad track area. I made sure they didn't have time to hide or make any noise, other than the thump when they fell to the ground with the extra hole in the head. When I got to the Building with the plans and the terrorist leader obviously I scanned the area. I shot only a few guys behind the building that were far enough away that they did not trigger any alarms or what not. Sneak up to the back of the house, right side stairway. Shoot the guy that is probably looking right at you and make a mad dash to the porch shooting only the enemies that are running right towards you - don't turn around and doodle with everyone. When you get to the porch and start to turn left towards the front door, shoot only the two guys that are in your way on the porch - Keep running and don't change your clips or stop for a beer. After you run over the dead, get through that door and cap that leader, screw the objective. Quickly get around the open door and kill the gaurd. Stay away from the windows and go to the left side of the fireplace. Crouch in that corner and listen.......change clips and drop a sensor if no one is close. Check the map and let them come to you. The building will explode but you will not get hurt if your in that corner. After everything calms down a bit, slowly make your way to the door and get that sniper up on the rock face opening to your right and then to your left. Pop those stupid truck tires to get rid of the engine noise and nearly everyone around the house area will be dead. The rest is pretty easy. It might be possible to push the terrorist leader (if you are indeed getting him to surrender) over to the fireplace before the explosion happens, but I doubt it. That was your question, right? Blackalliance
I've noticed that there hasn't been too much discussion about this mod. Just so everyone knows, I believe Ninja broke some new ground with this mod. I don't recall being able to shoot from helicopters while in transit to the drop site during any mission I've played before (Mission 7). There are some really cool things in this mod, I'll leave it up to you guys to go get it and spread the word. Not all the missions work, unfortunately. Here are the ones I was able to play: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7-kinda, 8,9, and I hear 13 works - but I didn't try it yet. If somebody is good at modding, make a patch for this!! (Maybe somebody from the FL-AVA or =DRAG= team? Taskforce Thresher Project - Fileplanet (you have to dig around for it) I'll e-mail Rocky to see if we can get the link in this sites download page..... hippeis
There is already a link to it on the "news" page. I personally enjoy the armored core mods(this one and the airborne one). They always seem fresh and creative, and tons of fun. I haven't re tried mission 9 with your suggestions yet, but I will as soon as I get the time. Thanks. hippeis
How do you: "unlock the other missions with wordpad"...do you add something to the filename?
Blackalliance
How do you: "unlock the other missions with wordpad"...do you add something to the filename? Open up your RSE folder and get to the mod folder. Open it and look for the mod you want to have missions unlocked in. Using notepad open the file that has all the map or mission names in it. I'm sorry, I'm at work right now and I started writing this at a bad time.....ummmm.......crap. Write the names down exactly how they appear in that screen (note pad). Exit out of that screen and go back to RSE file folder titled "unlocked missions" and open it with notepad. The unlocked missions folder does not look like a folder, but open it anyways - with notepad. Look for the missions that are already unlocked and add in your unlocked missions right there. quick example: (tab) \mission\r06_puff _the_magic_d.mission\andsoforth (tab) \mission\r07_black_widow.mis\blablabla (tab) enter your mission here I apolagize for the cryptic egyptian way I try to explain things, so I hope this makes sense. I need to get back to work!!!!
hippeis
Thanks, I understood perfectly. I'll give mission 13 a try now. Hopefully someone will attempt to create a patch of some sort for the errant missions.
