ReconSnake 0 Posted February 25, 2004 Share Posted February 25, 2004 I just did a fresh install of xp pro, and now IE 6 is crashing on me like crazy. I'm talking every couple of minutes here. I have all the IE patches downloaded from microsoft - so I have no idea what the problem is. Any of you advanced users have any ideas? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Dan 0 Posted February 25, 2004 Share Posted February 25, 2004 odd problem, i ahve used 3 different versions of windows, always chopping nd changing, and never had any problems like this?!? Try gettin rid of IE completly, and (re)installing IE6, and al the patches etc. Also, check oiut the compatibility that IE is set to (right click-properties-compatibilty tab). It may be set to wion 98 or ME or whateverr. these are my only thoughts, and im not qualfied in anyway Quote Link to post Share on other sites

If you did all the IE updates, but not the XP ones, you my have missed an important one. I have never seen the problem that you two speak of. Sounds like a virus.
