taking up map making

For me when i was just learning it was like this..(:wall::wall::wacko::wacko::wall::nono: )..hmm just read the level builder.pdf acouple times.Also look at the castle map.max on the IT cd.it will show you alot

the first part of mikes tut tells you how to set up max.

the txt files you are looking for are on the IT Cd under the Extras folder. i don't remeber in which folder after that. but if you look in those 5 folders it is in there.

Worst case, stick this inside Notepad and name it Ikesurfaces:-

BTW IIRC there's an update patch somewhere which allows you to xport detail textures correctly, or something like that. Check with Ubi

thanks everyone it was right were zeko said it would be.

back to business.

i will definitely look into that patch. any other downloads or tools that i can use now that i will probably find later and say i wish i had those earlier?
