SOTOMac 0
You may have already tried this but here goes... Setting up the patch 1. Download the Dedicated server patch 2. Go to your Ghost Recon installation folder 3. Rename the original "Ghostrecon.exe" to "GR.exe" 4. Copy the Dedicated server patch to the Ghost Recon installation folder. (The patch file is actually called "Ghostrecon.exe" aswell, else it wouldn't enable you to host a dedicated server in the "normal" ubi lobbies) You're done! Note: if you want to play GR again, just rename the "Ghostrecon.exe" patch to anything you like (ie. "dedilauncher.exe"). Then rename the "GR.exe" (which was the original) back to "Ghostrecon.exe". Now if you want to host dedicated again, just go trough the previous steps again. Hosting in ubi Just host as you usually do ) Troubleshooting If the patch is not working, but complaining about some missing files, you might have to download and install the Visual Basic 6 runtime files. Which are located @ http://download.com.com/3000-2070-5531236....tml?tag=lst-0-1. If you're still experiencing troubles, feel free to mail me @ niellus@planet.nl That said - Its the Email that I've Included which will probably get You more answers than can be gathered here... Another thing to remember is that even though You have DL'ed and Installed the VB 6.0 Runtimes - You may still have to go into Your Control Panel and select that specific VB Runtime as the one Your PC will use rather than the previous one. Sorry - I wish I had more for You. Sincerely,
SwE_X_LEAD 0
Hi SOTOMac Ty for the guide, but i already read it. Where in the control panel do i set what vbrun files to use ? Larsa www.swex.tk
SOTOMac 0
In most PCs - Its in Control Panel under ; Java Plugin X.X.X_XX My Control Panel has a Java Plugin Applet called ; Java Plugin 1.4.0_01 And that is where this setting is Changed or Updated when You have VB Runtimes Installed on Your PC. Double-click on that Applet and You should be able to figure It out from there. If not post back here and I'll be able to help You further. Sincerely,
