i think i got a solid tactic for takin out the snipers and roadblocks for this mission. ive done it in sp elite, no t/i, no respawn as well as mp with same confg. all you need is a sniper and some claymore.

use the sniper to take out the 4 initial snipers -- 1 right and 3 left side.

bring your claymore up to position just below the 5th sniper on the right side. your sniper can get a clean shot of him undetected prone behind the first sniper roost on the left side.

before taking him out, have the claymore set in the middle of the road just before the man gets in visual of the 6-tango patrol down the road and the sniper just above him. use your sniper to cover him should things go awry.

once claymore is in place, run the fileman back so he is as far back while maintaining visual of target area. take out that 5th sniper and the 6-tango patrol should come edging up the road having been alerted.

use the sniper to communicate to the claymore when its a good time to blow.

you can take out all 6 guys like this. usually 4 -- use the sniper to clean out the remaining tangos.

from there there will be 1 sniper to take out on the left side before engaging the roadblock. i usually have my sniper on the very far end (beyond the range of those crappy ak47's) and the rifleman/demo just before the bend on the right side to take out any tango with the balls big enough to edge that far up. there will also be a sniper above him and a 2 or 3 tango patrol comin through the mountain pass.

thers gonna be like 20 tangos to take out at that roadblock. at least.

this tactic has helped me out in both sp and mp.

i can't come up with a simple enough op-plan to setup our team on mp so we're nice and entrenched and can take out the tangos from high ground. i like to favor the right cliff but we typically get thrown off by the 3 tango patrol comin down the right side or the stragglers that make it past our barrage climbing up to us from the shacks or the left side.

i got a good group of people i play with and we emphasize teamwork but are in no way as organized as a clan and often see new people coming into the room we need brought up to speed on the op-plan.

with that in mind, i try to keep the op-plans real simple so people can remember them and it can be explained easily to new comers.

well if ya have a full complement of soldiers -three teams- what i do is send one each way at start...and i go straight to the first rock or so i can see down the road right...take out the jeeps that roll by and the guys coming fom the shanty town...my b team will be on the left at the top of first pass to snipe into shanty or mountaintop .50s , which i also do on ground....c team hikes right slowly..eyes open to the first hook right cliff..now i can usually take out 3 of the 50 gunners from my spot at middle.. then sneak around to support c team on the right cliff as long as they got my back...b team will slowly advance covering alpha as well and then hit the maps going all the way left...options after you get the map are open..kill all or be quiet..what i mean is you can go dif ways from this point depending on r.o.e ;) ..i usually have c team watching from the right cliff as alpha and bravo go capture whatshisface....after that i have bteam secure the hostage and keep and eye on the vehicle yard...(they go take out tangos at rear field behind house before going for whatshisface) alpha will go ahead of c team-left side from hillhouse- to hit out guys in their path...converge on both sides -usually have demo a and c teams- and hope it works which it usually does depending on who's playing ;)
