stalk&kill 0
hey, Im new to modding and i want to redesign the ghillie suit in the game becauze they are horrible. I have already made them but i dont know how to make it a mod that others can use so it works online. It involves modifying the sniper's .RSB files.
Ruin 17
I've already made one. Check the downloads section for InvisibleSniper, works great in MP and are very good at camouflage. But to answer your question, zip it up and send it to Rocky as a mod.
Matt03 0
Just go into Igor and click on new and then go down to the mods tab. Then click on the new tab at the bottom of the window. Then save the mod and put your stuff in there. Might want to edit the modscont text file. You might want to post some pics of the mod so we can get a look at it so those of us that have invisible sniper don't get another mod that is the same thing.
stalk&kill 0
in your invisible sniper mod, do all people playing have to have the mod to play? if some people dont, do they see the regular sniper ghillie? since i used ruin's guide to this mod (thx so much, its gotten me hooked on this stuff) When i play online with my ghillie i made, does every1 else (they dont have my ghille file) see my ghillie or the regular crappy one? stalk&kill 0
i was wondering, what about an urban sniper mod, could it be done? or mabey a "flashback to the 70's" camo mod where every1 is in tiedie and bell bottoms?
Matt03 0
They seem pretty similar to invisble sniper. Maybe if you were to find so pics of real ghillie suits and use that a reference it would be better. Not to say that it sucks but it has already been done. If you have 3DS Max you could make some attachments to put on the ghillie.
stalk&kill 0
are there any other programs for 3d editing that are compatible?
Avey 0
are there any other programs for 3d editing that are compatible? No.
Ruin 17
@SK, As with all mods on MP, all users do need the mod. Especially for new skins. All players MUST have the mod. But, it's a small download (close to 5MB I think), and I'd say it's worth it. EDIT: Link To InvisibleSniper v1 Over 4000 downloads, wow, I'm stunned.
SOTOMac 0
Take a Look at the Files You've made and where They needed to go in Single Player for them to Work. The .atrs for the Single Player Characters are not the same ones used for the MP Characters in "GR". Let Me simplify this if I can. SinglePlayer Characters in "GR" use an .atr File from the ; "Ghost Recon/Mods/Actors/hero" Folder. MP Characters in "GR" use an .atr File from the ; "Ghost Recon/Mods/Actors/MP Actor Files" Folder. You can then edit the Info for a Specialist from a Single Player .atr into either of the MP .atrs | mp_plt1_snip.atr, mp_plt1_hvywpn.atr, mp_plt1_dem.atr, or the mp_plt1_asl.atr That said You'll then need to recreate the Original Folder structure that You see in OrigMiss, MP1, or MP2 and then place Your Files accordingly as You see them placed in the Game's Originally created Expansion Packs. Its always a good Idea to take a look at any of the Mods or Expansions around and then back-engineer one of them when attempting to find out how something is pulled off or accomplished. I'll check back to see how You're doing... Sincerely,
