troubled_son
just a query, but could you mount headlights onto a chopper to create a downward shining spotlight?
cobaka
You should be able to add a headlight, but I don't know about making it sweep like a spotlight. In either case, it would not dynamically light characters. @DVS1 - the PDF lays it out pretty clearly, but if you still have problems post again and someone can set you up. TheBlakeness (HotPants)
i cant speak for the chopper, but El Oso and spent hours trying to get lights on a boat to work but to know avail. For some reason, it doesnt seem that boats support lights...so dont be to hurt if helos dont either.
tmichc
In a similar vein to DVS1, I also have to ask if there's an idiot's guide (involving pictures if possible, the guide on the IT CD is as clear as mud) to tagging headlights. Am not interested in making them sweep dynamically.... yet, but I'm still trying to get them to work. If someone could either explain in simple terms, or post a link to a decent tutorial (tried El Oso's site, nothing there that I could see..... ) then I would love you forever (sorta... ). I have created a small Max object I call a headlight (basically a flattish cylinder). It has an image of a headlight lens attached to the front (the texture's named headlight.rsb). Now, what's the difference between this texture and my night texture? Is the night one the 'lit' texture (i.e. looks like the light's on)? If so, what's a damaged texture? Am I just being stupid here (always likely.... ), or is there something I've missed? Many thanks guys, Tim
