I don't know if this would be your problem, but I think you're supposed to name portals you can't walk through (like the window one) pt01_03.

pt portals are used where u dont want characters to pass over usually used on windows that r low to ground.

 Hmmnn...

A portal has four sides. Each of these sides must line up exactly with four vertices of the inner room, and four vertices of the outer room. That's 8 vertces to line up. So...

"Portal p01_03 is not in room 3" could mean 1) the doorframe/ windowframe was accidentally grouped into the wrong room, or 2) there is a tiny gap (1cm/0.5 in is enough) between portal and room 3. Check to see that all 4 sides fo the portal is lined up exactly with room 3. Also check for any "extra" portals you forgot to delete/ cloned by accident etc.

BTW better to name the window portal pt01_03 to prevent AI from trying to walk through the window.

A room has an outer boundary.

The boundary is defined by all the objects that are contained within that grouped room.

When you connect one room to another, the portal needs to be contained exactly inbetween the two rooms where the boundaries meet.

So basically, when you get the message "Portal:p01_03 not contained in room 3" it means that the entire portal or some part of it is not contained within that boundary.

To fix this, you need to move the portal so it fits exactly in both boundaries.

In practice this means you need to snap the vertices of the portal to the gap.

Also keep in mind that a portal needs to be co-planar.

could it be possible to get that error if you don't have a roomlist file?
