Guest SI-Prozac
I Render faces of my gun... and then go back in photoshop and over lay textures on top. and go map it. then do some tuching up to make edges blend together a little better To make the textures i usually use just a brush and smudge or blur tool and other various tools to clean it up. Parabellum 12
I assign a UVW Map, then I unwrap the mesh onto a canvas, and export the mesh via Texporter, and then paint on the texture in PhotoShop. Since the model is already mapped and unwrapped, I simply have to apply the texture in Max. Very simple. EDIT - By the way, that's a sweet looking texture Prozac. I know I've said it before, but, in my opinion, you've improved exponentially since the first time you let me preview your work. Two thumbs up to you dude.
