NYR_32 6
Ok I had just downloaded a .zip and extracted the program within it....after scanning it with NAV....I installed the program "Style XP", which changes the theme for windows....boot screens etc....now when ever I try to download a .zip file...well it goes all nutso on me....the file sort of opens in a window/or WinRAR...and if I try rightclicking then "Save target as"...I get an error saying IE can't find the file...exact phrase is this "Internet Explorer cannot download file name from server addressInternet Explorer not able to open this internet site. Please try again later"...this is only happening with .zip extensions.... Running XP Home and IE 6 SP1...rest of system info is listed in the My Rig link in my sig. Specter 0
As a test, download Opera for free and try to get it that way. With the Java issue with IE and the trouble between Sun and MS, this has caused some problems. Opera won't need to be installed, only extracted. It runs on it's own. Give that a try. Specter 0
Oper is cool. The problem has something to do with the Java issue with IE. It doesnt effect everything though. Glad it worked out bro.
