creating a ico (icon) for my mod

ok my mod is done and in testing right now, im looking to create a installing icon beside the same old little harddrive icon. I know this can be done frostbite has its own icon and some other mods.is there a plugin for photoshop for this or do i need a differ program.

any thoughts?

IMHO the best software is microangelo. Look for it with google and you will not be disappointed. It's a shareware but in 30 days you should be able to make your icon

You can even make em in paint, just save the file extension as ".ico"

thanks guys i couldnt save in photoshop didnt have the ico ext. i did find a freeware from downloads.com very simple program and worked great.

Here's a download page with an open source Photoshop plugin for managing *.ico files. It's donationware, meaning free as in beer, but if you like the downloads, the author wouldn't mind if you slipped them a couple of bucks.
