Rocky 1,224
Bob Monkhouse RIP. His manner always annoyed me a little on TV, but he was good at what he did. Having just watched a documentary about him, I am reminded not to be so quick to judge people on the basis of a 30 minute TV show, he had his share of troubles. Rest In Peace Bob Monkhouse. MarkVanDamme 0
Anyone see Bruce night on BBC2? Have I got Bruce for you? LMAO
magnumkp 0
"When I said I wanted to become a comedian everyone laughed. They aren't laughing now are they?" That Bruce evening was good, made you remember the good tv presenters, who could pretty much host any show they wanted with no script. Compare that with the sticks off RI:SE (apart from Zora Zullerman ) and most current gameshow hosts. Never a great fan of Bruce or Bob or many of the "old guard" but to give them their due it is difficult work.
Rocky 1,224
"When I said I wanted to become a comedian everyone laughed. They aren't laughing now are they?" Yeh, I laughed when I read that too, very clever, and classic Monkhouse. I too didn't hear the news until a day or two after.
