snared_gambit 0 Posted December 28, 2003 Share Posted December 28, 2003 Well m8, it's not really that difficult. Attachments such as a gl or shotgun are simple. You model said attachment onto the base weapon. Let's say I'm making an M4 M203. First, I set up the helpers for the m4. Which pain explains if IIRC. Then, you export the model for the m4 part. After that, it's basically just a matter of moving the muzzle flash point, and exporting the grenade launcher model. Really simple. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
SnowFella 8 Posted December 28, 2003 Share Posted December 28, 2003 As far as I know, and this might be wrong but I remember reading it somewhere, you don't even have to move the muzzle flash point. What I remember reading is that when you use the underbarrel function in the .gun file it acctually drops the muzzleflash down alittle beneath the barrel. Setting up a working GL or Masterkey is just a matter of coding your .gun file in a certain way, take a look at the m16gl.gun file in the Origmiss/Equip folder and you should see how its done. You should be able to use the same .qob file for both your primary and secondary weapon. That's unless you want changes in handplacement or a different look of your model like what I've done with the GL models for SWEBAT, the primary weapon has the leaf sights for the GL folded down and when you switch to the GL the leaf sights folds up.
