larocket83 0
I have windows XP, and when i logged on the first thing that popped up was (trojan horse located at C:/etc, etc. Start AVG antivirus.) So i did. And when i did nothing really happened. So i did a complete scan. Nothing was found, and it was up to date, just updated yesterday. Nothing in the vault/quarantine. Does this mean its gone? I've heard that when this happens you need to reinstall. I have no idea, I've never had this happen before. I almost get sick to my stomachwhen i think that my information is out in the internet somewhere. Any help would be really appreciated. Edit: The last thing i did before that happened was download raven shield sp demo from 3dgamers.com. When i went to install it it closed itself after about 2% was finished and only put a blank icon on my desktop. This couldnt be it could it? I thought that was a respectable website. This seems only to be a corrupt file, try to download it again! I have windows XP, and when i logged on the first thing that popped up was (trojan horse located at C:/etc, etc. Start AVG antivirus.) IMHO the trojan file could be inside the temporary files or the system restore. In the first case simply try to delete the temporary files withing IE, in the second case go to control panel, system and deactivate system restore. Reboot and enable system restore again
larocket83 0
Thanks for the help, but I reinstalled a few days ago. I backed up everything so it all worked out okay, and now it even runs faster.
