WinZip has a utility that makes the zip a self-executable zip-file (EXE).

Same as for WinRar and WinAce.

Good thing is you can still open the EXE's in WinZip to extract mannually. You can see where they will go, or select only a part to be extracted. No Windows-registries !

I'm just wondering....

The size of my upcoming mod will be huge (it'll have new voice acting - .wav files take up a large amount of space!). If the size of it is huge, then I will split it into separate parts, so you would need to download both parts in oder to be able to play the mod (the reason is, for the 56k'ers - i know what it's like downloading these mods that are huge in size; i'm on 56k....also it makes it easier to upload to my webspace for me).

Anyways, more to the point. I'm gonna put the mod into a ClickTeam self installer. I know the self installer compresses the contents the files inside, but if I then put the self installer inside a WinAce archive (I got WinAce - I used it for my previous mods) would it get compressed even more? I hope so, cuz WinAce compresses the files down helluva alot....
