Tom Clancy's Sum of all fears

Recommended Posts

I have SOAF and think it is a pretty fir game. It uses the GR engine and is tweaked for use in indoor environs. The engine also allows for more level on a map unlike GR's limit of 2. The AI are even tweaked and I have seen them do some pretty wicked things. The only downside I can think of is the fact that you can't customize your kits really. There are some cool mods out that include Rogue Spear maps that even have extra places to go, that aren't in the original RS maps. Go ahead and get it. It isn't that expensive now. Go for it.

in my opinion it was pretty much what an urban expansion would of been if they had released one for GR, it is Identical to GR in almost everyway...same engine...i honestly think they would of sold more if they had packaged it as an expansion for GR than as a game based on a movie...i like the game for the most part...i just wish more people had it...

Strange one this...I love GR...but when it came to SOAF it just didn't do it for me...although SOAF is basically just like playing GR!! Wierd non?

I found it pretty laggy on MP myself. SP was ok, but like I said, it just didn't do it for me! :( But like Nkog said, if they had packaged it as an expansion pack for GR I think it would have gone down better. Better than IT...???

my only complaint about SOAF is that you cant find hundreds of people playing it like you can with GR.

otherwise, its a nice game., a bit limited compared to GR but worth having. all the maps have been ported to GR and some of them are really quite nice.
