I'll go with EricJ on that one, Mig29S and Mi29A are different birds, but two Mig-29A's with few differences, besides lettering in the cockpit, de-rated engines etc is a bit weird.

Something Multi-role would have been nice, but again there's no A/G radar- yet.

Down the track, looks like F/A-18 will be included. To those that want more flyables, it's a question of detail- each bird included flyable and non-flyable is modelled on real data, the F-15 cockpit is a real cockpit- granted it's mish mash from pre and post MSIP I and II etc.

This sim is no Janes ATF or Janes USAF Yeah I enjoyed that sim, but it wasn't realistic- fun but not realistic). If you've ever wondered what it's like to fly and fight in a modern top of the range fighter jet in air combat this sim is for you and if your an F-15 fan like me.....well.........

Well onto to some more goodies from Sim HQ

First article deals with how to use the CCIP bombing mode in the Warthog and how to precisely place those CBU's and MK82's onto a T-72 etc.

A-10 CCIP Bombing

This is a mission report- basically a story based on an actual Lo_mac Mission with Screenies:-

Mission

There are a few more mission reports for those wanting a sneek peak of what to expect.

bought the game.... and it FPS are okon medium but if i see a little city... FPS SUCK! like 1 to 2 frames in 5 seconds.

unless i turn graphics on low... then it plays smooth all the way.

not bad at all other then trying to learn all the buttons...

i might have to study this game and then enter some tournaments =P

RAM helps a lot on this game, had 256 RAM, LO-mac could play, but would freeze up with detail, got another 512MB RAM and now she pures along, no problems or slow up in Frame Rate. I'm runnig a Ge Force 2 and it handles it fine.

lomac has bugs its definitly not my system

Have you got the patch yet? And yes the original has it's got bugs in it, hopefully as time goes by the performance will be better as pacthes are released, shame it wasn't perfect on release, but look at Falcon 4 when it came out as well, high end simulations will always be buggy on release.

Okay, here's a training track on how to refuel with the F-15C:

http://562.50megs.com/LOMAC/Tracks/AirRefuelF-15C.zip

Note, you will need TrackPacker to view this. Though it is advised to go here:

http://www.btinternet.com/~hasfjord/TrackPacker

This will help in configuring TrackPacker for LOMAC (least until Attilla gets it working better).

Any sort of support can be found here:

Interesting article in PC Gamer (US) Nov '04 that arrived today. Shortly after the release of patch 1.01 two months after the game's release, a producer and a former producer convined a skeptical Ubi to fund a second patch to fix bugs and glitches. Five months of hard work later, Eagle Dynamics released a second and much welcomed 1.02 patch.

By all accounts, the same team have hinted at a third patch to fix the few remaining glitches. This time though, it will be unfunded :clapping:

Well done ED, such dedication.

Yep, I hope they do realease it, kinda looking forward to the Su-25T, but then again, once you've flown the Su-33 (for me anyways), there's really no turning back.

Though I've never had much use for AIM-120s... but they're great for downing helos.

Thought I'd mention this for the fans that haven't heard. PC gamer (US) April 2005 has an article featuring Lock On: Flaming Cliffs.

Since Eagle Dynamics patched the most annoying problems for 'Lock On', with a pair of upgrades, they've been been busy at it. The Russion developers have launched a sequel called 'Flaming Cliffs'. Not only does it quash LO's most serious bugs, it also adds some impressive new radar and avionics enhancments. Three aircraft specific campaigns consisting of seventy five missions, new terrain textures and improved flight and damage modeling make up this new title.

The amazing Su-25T features 52,000 polygons, optically guided anti-armoUr missiles and laser guided bombs.

Continuing on from the established 'Flanker' series, LO and now 'Flaming Cliffs', this is looking to be Eagle Dynamics best.

Unfortunately boys and girls, as Ubi dropped the title, it's only available as an import from Moscow based 1C Games, or as a direct download from www.lockon.ru.
