WytchDokta 6
I just pulled some info up on this one. Hmmmm....interesting....You though you play through the game as Hawkins again....YOU THOUGHT WRONG. I found the following info from Computer and Video games.com: Jarek Kolar: "Fist Alpha is set half a year before the original Vietcong game, and the main part of the storyline sees the A-216 team building a base on Nui Pek Hill. This team is led by Warren Douglas (does that name ring any bells?). For those who have not played Vietcong - I won't tell you quite why it should and for those who have - well you'll know what I'm saying." So, you play through the game as Douglas....remember Douglas? Hornster (at the begining of the game) says that Douglas got waxed by an AK round to the head. The VC 'jumped' them.... So all the characters from the original game will be in it except Hawkins. Dang! Just a heads up....
Matt03 0
That is pretty cool. I never really liked Hawkins. I would like to be Hornster.
WytchDokta 6
Bronson owns the most!! "Come get me!!"
WytchDokta 6
Ok just found some more info....yet another Vietcong expansion on the horizon? This info I found at the official forums mentions Vietcong: Tet Offensive.... In Dec 2002, Take2 promised its investors a Vietcong sequel in 2004. Take2 announced this same Vietcong sequel in a press release attached to an SEC form 8-K filing dated Sept 3, 2003. At the time of both these announcements, Fist Alpha was planned for its original October 2003 release. Thus, the 2004 sequel promised to Take2 investors HAD to refer to Vietcong: Tet Offensive. I think Fist Alpha was ready in Oct 2003 -- so why was Fist Alpha delayed? Ladies and gentlemen, I suggest that Fist Alpha was delayed for two reasons. 1) more development time needed for Vietcong: Tet Offensive, and 2) fulfill Take2's promise to its investors that Vietcong would have a sequel in 2004. Moral: trust no one who wears a suit. elpatricio 0
It would be very cool to play as Hornster. I'm glad we don't have to see Hawkins again, he was the only one that couldn't act, and his voice was completely wrong for nam, far too boy scout. I hope Nhut will be back. WytchDokta 6
AFAIK, the rest of them are back. Team A216 was the team you were in VC. You (the player) was a replacement for the teams intel sergeant. I VC:FA you are still in team A-216 but half a year before, hence the reason why you play as Warren Douglas (the intel sergeant who got shot in the head). And yes, playing as Horsnter would own, but Bronson still owns more!! [evil voice]"Come get me!!"[/evil voice] Bronson speaks with an evil kinda voice when shouting abuse at the enemy...."Get some you ######s!!" I love Hornsters quotes though...."CJ's coming for ya!!" Nhut is the bestest for quotes though....[high pitched girls voice] "Help me ple-ease"[/high pitched girls voice] "I got hit!!" Hehe, lets start a GR.net buddies clan for Vietcong co-op mode....I'll be the machine gunner. We could call the clan: "We Am Da Bestest (WADB for short....)"
