Shadow Recon 0
OK I don't want anyone to think I'm stupid or anything, even though you probably will, but... this is why I need to know this.. I went to the store the other day to get some ham for a salad and I my mom usually got the ham. Well... I went to get the ham this time and on the package it said "Turkey Ham" Now the whole point of getting ham was to not have any other meat ... right? Now I'm wondering why they call it turkey ham if ham comes from a pig and turkeys dont have ham. Someone please explain.. I'm so confused.
Zantar45 0
Its probably for those ''health concious'' types. IIRC its turkey thats processed to look like a baked ham. ....Kinda like Tofurkies......(Tofu shaped like a Turkey).........
magnumkp 0
No idea, but this seems a good enough thread as any to crowbar in the fact I took photos at a ham smoking place. Even saw them being pickled. The guy picked on out of this pickling vat thing (about 6 in each) and slapped it, the juice flew off and hit me in the face.

magnumkp 0
Sorry, I only have 3 good storys so I have to get my moneys worth out of each of them. What I haven't mentioned is that the second time I went I had to drive 30 minutes there, take 3 photos and then drive 3 minutes back. I wasn't happy I can tell ye. magnumkp 0
I had to drive 30 minutes there, take 3 photos and then drive 3 minutes back. Wow, you must have been either breaking the speed limit or defying physics on your return journey! Maybe he reversed there, and drove forwards home I just missed out a 0 off the end. *sigh* another mistake. On a similar note, I had to take a computer to a place to be fixed. The trip there according to my distanceometer was 35 miles, the return trip was 22. Yes, I got seriously lost. I went up and down one road 3 times, then had a 4 mile trip up a dual carriageway where I had to get off and turn round. Wow, I have the best stories don't I? (When did these new icons appear, I must have missed that.)
Zantar45 0
You drove 35miles to watch them make hams? I certainly hope the hams were tasty.
