eleven7 0
Looks good bludawg. Any buildings and such planned? was just checking out your site.. the screen shots of the stuff you've done looked very cool. I also waisted 15 mins reading your essay of counterpoint. no, j/k, I liked it. Never thought about music that way before, as being lines that converge or diverge from each other. I don't know much about architecture but I did learn about a little thing called phi which is the number .618 (or 1.618) and it's relationships in music, architecture and every other aspect of life. It is a ratio that is pleasing to the eye. An example of this ratio would be to look at the greek parthanon(sp?). THe ratio .618 also known as the golden mean can be seen in the that structure. THe distance in height is 2/3's the distance in width. The columns also show the same relationship.. If I'm not mistaken, their height is 2/3's the total height of the structure. When taking a photo of someone, have you ever noticed how having the subject off to either the left side or right side of center sometimes is more pleasing to the eye? Again, the golden mean at work. Many artists use this ratio as well. The painting of The Last Supper is another example. Leonardo da Vinci made a concious effort to utilize the golden mean in his work. He found it pleasing and said "If a thing does not have the right look, it does not work."

Yeah, just thought sometimes buildings, even simple ones, provide more options for mission scripters. Looking good.
