Windows messing up

ok well i made a window put the helper point in TOP viewport in the middle.Then made a plane,got the glass texture made it 2sided and put the texture on.Grouped the plane and helper point together.saved exported and played..when i looked out the window there was only the skybox.So i put a portal before the window then p01_02 and exported and it looked like this still.Anyone know whats wrong

This is from outside looking inside..there no walls,floor,or furniture

On your pictures there it looks to me like you have grouped the things on the inside like _02 and not grouped your inside walls like anything...but I'm not sure.

What I would have done here is to delete the portal first. Then you only need one room. Group everything on your map as _01, exept the window. This is a dynamic object and should not be grouped to anything.

Group the glass and the helper point: 01_<n><glass>window1

In the map editor in Max, go to objects and set the following properties:

2d Collision type: Box

3d Collision type: Polygon

Penetration type: Standard Glass

Bill.Type: Face camera

Check line-of-sight-transparent.

In the general tab, set LOD1 to: window1.

Export and test now. Tell me if it works. It should do!

ok ill try that and i grouped my outside walls with my outside stuff as _01 and my inside walls,tables and all in the house as _02..i didnt put it has 2d Collision type: Box

3d Collision type: Polygon

so ill do that

ok i got it to work...i didnt tag my window has a box and polygon.Also didnt have my normal on my portal facing to _01.but after i realized that and exported it worked fine
