regarding shotguns

Recommended Posts

hi!

is there anyone that has an idea of how you do or which lines in

the .gun-file that you change to get the effect of a slug instead

of buckshot when using a shotgun?

might be cool or useful in some situations.

im sure that you can improve the range with your shotgun that way.

best regards/ingeloop

I suggest you change the line in the .gun file that deals with the number of pellets fired to make it 1 eg:

<KillCoefficient1>0.1</KillCoefficient1>

<KillCoefficient2>0.004</KillCoefficient2>

<ProjectileCount>12</ProjectileCount>

<ProjectileSpread>0.05</ProjectileSpread>

<ReticuleTextureName>reticule_blakops.rsb</ReticuleTextureName>

Dont forget to change the Projectile spread also or the slug will be inaccurate, but then again thats proably a more realistic (no rifleing in barrell)

Play with these areas to get an effect youre after

(note: Tried putting in 50 pellets for a shotgun once a my computer would freeze up for a second, each time I fired - and automatic was a nightmare !)
