Cherokee 0
Toying around with the XYZ scale in ATR files... Do these scales actually control length/width/height? I noticed by shrinking the X scale to about 0.8, the actor got really skinny... Tried reducing the Y scale to 0.8 to make a shorter character...yes, it DID make him about a head shorter, but it also shrank him from the bottom up as well...in other words, his feet are off the ground now...literally! No footsteps or anything...makes for an interesting sci-fi effect...hovering jetpacks, anyone? Just wondering if anyone else has monkeyed with the XYZ scales, and if you've been able to alter the height and "weight" (i.e., girth) of characters...
SnowFella 8
If I remember right (never really tried this just heared about it) the X scale controlls how bulky the character is. Low value for a skinny one and high for a beefy character. The Y scale controls the height of the character, and as you have found out it scales the character up or down from a point around his waist. Make a tall one and his feet stick through the ground. That's where the Z comes in, it controlls the characters offset compared to the ground. It simply raises or lowers the characters centre point. So if you want to make a short or tall character you have to change both the Y and Z scale. Snow Edited December 1, 2003 by SnowFella

Stewy 0
I remember now and again, you do see a 'fat' operator - it's really weird - perhaps too much burger king in Iraq?

Cherokee 0
Thanx, guys... I knew there had to be a way to get some short/ tall/ fat/ skinny characters in the game... Maybe now I'll add a Danny DeVito or Gary Coleman character to my Hollywood Heroes mod....
Recon 0
The Y scale controls the height of the character I've just had an idea! Would it be possible to have a character that's like 100m high? I know nothing about modding but I think it could make a fun mission! Can it be done?
t3K|Murmel2 0
Would it be possible to have a character that's like 100m high? i don`t know if exactly 100m are possible but some time ago i did such an actor and well, he really looks large. but if u control this character by yourself your reticle and view is still at normal high....
