firefly2442 0
Anybody know if there are purifiers or filters that I can put in my computer? Maybe put one behind a fan? Is there stuff out there that I can get or would this be a custom mod job? Thanks!
Super-Bob 0
The case I have came with one built in.
NYR_32 6
My case came with an air filter already.... its kinda like an Airconditioner filter..same sort of material and stuff.... I was planning on adding a second filter for my second intake fan (the preinstalled one is for the first intake fan)... I was thinking of using the filter from my old AC and just cutting it to size
Dannik 43
Fan filters are not everyday finds, but certainly out there. Here's an example of someone installing case filters.
snakebite1967 0
thats what i did i cut down a furnace prefilter and isntalled them inf ront of intake fans works well, its the plastic style filter that resembles a floor mat just rinse under a tap and your set
firefly2442 0
Sweet thanks guys. So you think I could just go to a hardware store and get a filter and custom make one? Is it hard to do?
snakebite1967 0
i did saved me a lot of cash just took a bit of thought and persuing sites that sold the filters
Specter 0
They are out there, but remember this: They restrict air flow. IMO, better to leave it open, and just blow the PC out every once in awhile, rather than restrict the air flow.
snakebite1967 0
thats very true phantom but if your like me then u just add more fans bwahahahahaa
WhiteKnight77 1
I use Fan filter material similar to the stuff on this Dev Harware's Fan Filters page thought I get mine through Snap-On's EquiServ dealer at about $6 a pop. It is an open form and it is really good at catching dust and is easy to clean.
XavierOnasis 0
I dunno. Filters will keep you from finding... this in your case.
Specter 0
They will also increase your temps. Doesnt take that much time and effort to blow them out once a week. I'd rather have the air flow.

I'd rather have the air flow. Or clean it with a Hoover, as the case may be. From here on out, however, I shall refrain from picking on our Fearless Leader.

I have my case open as well and have a 7.5 inch desk fan blowing in. Stays cool always. Blow it out once a week or so to keep it clean. No heat problems, and simple.
