 Ok, I have myself completely open to the net. Nat Firewall is open on my router. Norton personal firewall is disabled. My friend can see my game on the list but it won't let him enter. I also have WinXP firewall off also. I've check all settings and still can't get this to work. Had no probs with win98 at all.

Now I can join his game and play just fine. He just can't join mine and niether can others. Sounds like I'm missing a setting here that I know nothing about but with all the firewalls down, What could it be??

If they can see you on the net, and try to join but cant, it sounds like you may have expansion packs or mods enabled that they dont have. Or you are patched to a version they arent.

You need to check with them and make sure you are all on the same page.

If they can see you and everything is open, then that would be the issue. The other thing that you can try is to just plug the host machine directly into your cable or DSL modem and see if that solves it.

On a side note, with NAT, you dont need a 3rd party software firewall or XP firewall. The NAT is 100 times better than either of the others. Just a suggestion to uncomplicate things for you.
