Xian Saint 0
Anyone know if you can use an XBOX with a wireless router and wireless ethernet adapter...?
Super-Bob 0
Well, you can't install a wireless NIC in the XBOX.
Dannik 43
...but you can use a wireless ethernet bridge, such as this device from Linksys. These types of network devices are designed specifically for situations like trying to network "internet appliances" that you can't crack open or easily modify, such as an Xbox's networking. Super-Bob 0
How do you config it? From the computer its connected to? If so then you can't really use it with an XBOX since you wouldn't be able to get into the config.
Dannik 43
You configure it from your computer first, then once it's programmed, it'll work on whatever device you are trying to add to your network. Bridges are more link mini-routers than simple NICs. Once configured initially to recognize your existing Wi-Fi network, any further configs can be done via a web browser, like most routers. There's a link detailing exactly how to configure (this particular at least) a wireless bridge to work with an Xbox. Edited November 12, 2003 by Dannik
