I'm on "Postcards From Peru", mission 2, where you have to take over the comms building before the rebels blow it sky high..... On my second attempt, I made up a new squad for the mission ( A = 1 rifleman, B = 2 support and 1 rifleman, C = 2 snipers ). Took control of Alpha, got the silienced MP5 and headed out as quiet as a mouse across camp, past the comms building, and upto the east hill with the mud huts - meanwhile, B & C were moving to position on the west hill, under recon conditions Thinking I need to take out the guys in the huts, else they'll see me as I try and enter the comms building, the outside stairway never seemed to stay clear long enough to get up the steps....... I tip-toe up to the rebel standing outside the first hut, get as close as a hair on a Nun's doo-dar, when the boys in Bravo open up Crap flies, I freeze while simultaneously questioning the parentage of the support troops - rebels run out of the huts right in front of me and pour down the hill " I think - hell! they didn't spot me, what a stroke of luck! When the last rebel in the group, about halfway down the hill, suddenly stops dead...... He's on the far right of the screen, just visible in my NVG. We both turn around s-l-o-w-l-y to look straight at each other...... has he spotted me? Seconds pass, neither of us move......... what the hell, can't stay here forever, so I pull the trigger.... at exactly the same moment he does the same, and we both hit the dirt in a pool of blood "The Defense Department regrets to inform you that your Son died because the enemy doesn't like mimes...." Good story, I remember something similar on that mission, although I didn't have my support team close enough to open fire. SaRaK Posted November 11, 2003 Share Posted November 11, 2003 (edited) Just remembered fav story i was on c&c renegade playing online was on gdi. so i have a great idea and decide to get me and 3 other friends to die and wait at spawn point (there was like 16 aside so this is funnier back to story) we all spawn at same spot you see so when me and co died and waited in same spot we all spawned inside each other and then waited and over time more and more ppl died till we had the whole team stuck in one place, and when you went to 3rd person it was so funny with arms and legs every where. so when the other tried sucicide they were in same spot and ventually we let them all go after 10 mins. Once in cs (counter strike) i had a fun time following a person for like 4 mins before (last 2 ppl, me and him) eventually he heard me as i miss stepped and moved just after he did he turned around and i shot him point blank in the head with artic warfare magnum. ok so this kind of peved of the other guys who were waiting for next match but hell it was fun. SaRaK Posted November 13, 2003 Share Posted November 13, 2003 hahahahaha he'd whoop my ###### im too gung ho not only do i sit on top of the hill aiming at corner but then i get bored so run to corner, kill some more, finally get too bored run around corner with fellow team mates and hope the oblisk pics them for targets practise. now if i get lucky i will hide behind rock and shoot bad guys in the back as they go up the hill (alls fair in love, war and C&C right hehehehe) then finally going totally sucicidal ill make mt way into hand of nod builind and kill as much as possiable with silenced pistol or portable Ion cannon. course i die pretty quickly.
