GRT 0
How do i get my ground to not look stretched out.
TheBlakeness (HotPants) 0
tile the ground texture. It can be done in the material editor
Biro 0
BUT: It won't help to tile it if you have edited the vertices. The you will have to use the Unwrap UVW modifier. Select all your ground polygons faces within the modifier and planar it. Then Edit your floor so the textures get right.
Zeko 33
Is this a detail ground texture with <*dm> tag in material editor? If not check out detail texture tutorial from Dr.Jeckyl (i think he made it). U'll learn how they made ground textures on original maps. larocket83 0
You might have to download divx to play that video.
deleyt 0
Increase or decrease your U and V parameters on your detailtexture.
Zeko 33
Yup download the latest divx codec and it should work. At least it works here. The good part about using the detailed texture is that u can paint detail on map (roads, river banks etc..).
Biro 0
Hmm, can't be the DivX codec, cause the movie doesn't work on the latest divx player

Biro 0
http://www.techsmith.com/download/ensharpendecoder.asp Download this decoder, and run it in quicktime. Works great for me!
OSO 0
I think Dr J made that movie with the TSCC codec that comes with Camtasia. Google camtasia and you should be able to find it. Looks like Alpha beat me to the punch. Edited November 6, 2003 by EL_OSO
Zeko 33
Ok here is the codec. I forgot to upload it to web. Get it here! Inside u'll find TSCC codec and readme from Dr. J. EDIT: Huh, how did i missed Biro's post? " Anyway i hope the tutorial works now for all . Edited November 6, 2003 by Zeko
