NYR_32 6
Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get legit copies either of/or both of programs at a price that won't eat up my whole bank account? I really could use PS at the least.....
Xian Saint 0
I got Photoshop off of ebay...for much cheaper than what it sells for at most retailers... 3DSM - theres no such thing as cheap copies of it...heh heh. There is a student version...or possibly go with an older version...but still...even on Ebay...always more than I'm willing to pay for it...(or depending on what you plan to do with it...use GMAX - if you just want to learn how to use it?) Xian Saint 0
Ebay huh...... mind if I ask what version and for how much? I'm uh, not in front of my "home" computer...but I'll let you know (in the next day or so) I do know it was the newest version (at the time) but was the "lite" edition or something like that...I want to say I paid like 30 or 40 bucks for it...but honestly thats been awhile ago...so that number may be skewed slightly...heck I don't even know what it goes for now... But I have bought tons of software off of ebay (cause like you I'm only about the legit stuff) and I've always done better there than in the stores...sometimes it just takes patience...and you have to snipe a few people who are bidding on it...but persistence pays off... (who knows...maybe one day I'll get lucky and score 3DSM - just havent yet)
Super-Bob 0
I could get you student copies of both if you give me the money first.
Super-Bob 0
3ds max 6 with Character Studio and reactor is $679.98. A copy with a one year license is $179.98. Photoshop CS is $299.98.

BlueRose_76 0
Super-Bob made you an offer grande, NYR. I should give him the money and run. (@SB: Thats the educational version of PS, right? are there any limitations on it?)
Super-Bob 0
Quick question the One year license... let me guess..... after a year the program stops working right? Bingo. (@SB: Thats the educational version of PS, right? are there any limitations on it?) None at all.
Dannik 43
I think that the educational versions are licensed only for non-commercial use, as in you can do whatever you want, as long as you aren't doing it for work/money/etc. For modding GR, that's not a concern. Again, I am going on sketchy brain cells at the moment, so I could in fact be wrong, not having ever used 3dsmax, and having a retail Photoshop 7 I got from my company. Parabellum 12
Sometimes, you just need a bit of luck. I was able to get PhotoShop new for $35, and I got Max as a Christmas present from a friend - legitimately.
