Custom Kits & Weapon Restrictions

I've been changing all of the kit files and taking out certain things and adding others. Like instead of having M24 + Grenades, have M24 + Russian 9mm Pistol. But since the kit file was previously grenades, if you pick no explosives, the kit with the pistol doesn't show up. I tried editing the kil file for no explosives and added M24 + Grenades, but it just adds the kit to the end of the list instead of it's proper place (kit 4). Is there a way of telling GR to put the kits in a certain order? Or do I have to create my own kit files and kil files from scratch instead of editing the ones that already there?

first you shouldnt over write the kit files make a new mod and copy your files to that mod..then you need to edit the kit restriction or make a new one which will be easier.Both can be done i igor new mod is under file and mods

I didn't actually edit the original files, I did copy them into my mod directory like you were saying already. I was going to change the original weapon setup but instead I've decided to just make my own kil files and my own kit files. This way the original weapon setup is still there. I'm going to make kil files for no restrictions, no sensors, and no explosives. Then have all my own kit files within there. I just figured out how to get it working. It's just a matter of getting all of the kit and kil files made.
