zulu9812 0 Posted November 1, 2003 Share Posted November 1, 2003 In the atr files for your team members, you can put things like "<LeftThighAttachmentNormalLOD>spare_mags.qob</LeftThighAttachmentNormalLOD>" Now, I thought that JungleLOD meant that the attachment would be used only for Jungle Maps, DesertLOD meant it would be used only for desert maps, and NormalLOD meant it would be used for woodland maps (or any map not designated as desert or jungle). BUT, it seems that NormalLOD attachments show up on all three map types, which somewhat throws a spanner in the works. Can anyone confirm this and if so, how could I get around it? If anyone else needs this for future reference, the NormalLOD will put the attachment on all maps, but just the attachemnt tag without the LOD part will just put it on the woodland maps. So, for example: <MidSpineAttachmentNormalLOD>Your.qob</MidSpineAttachmentNormalLOD> is for all maps <SpineMidAttachment>Your.qob</SpineMidAttachment> is for original GR maps <MidSpineAttachmentJungleLOD>Your.qob</MidSpineAttachmentJungleLOD> is for Island Thunder maps <MidSpineAttachmentDesertLOD>Your.qob</MidSpineAttachmentDesertLOD> is for Desert Siege maps I think that's right... For the record, I'm trying to convert all the urban and night maps to use urban camo for your team, all the woodland and jungle maps to use forest camo and all the desert maps to use desert camo. So, for example: Urban CT skins are used on: m02_Farm, m05_Embassy, m06_Castle, m11_POW_Camp, m12_Docks, m14_Airbase, d01_Beach, d05_GammaDawn, c05_Bridges and c06_PollingCenter. (count as GR maps in the ENV files) Forest skins are used on: all remaining GR and IT maps (count as jungle maps in the ENV files) Desert skins used on: all remaining DS maps. (count as desert maps in the ENV files) I've been able to swap over the characters and textures no problem, but I'm having trouble getting attachments to display properly. This is what I've put in all the player (e.g. demolitions, rifleman, etc) atr files: <SpineMidAttachmentLOD>Bergen.qob</SpineMidAttachmentLOD> <MidSpineAttachmentJungleLOD>Bergen.qob</MidSpineAttachmentJungleLOD> <LeftThighAttachmentNormalLOD>spare_mags.qob</LeftThighAttachmentNormalLOD> Now, I thought that would mean that the bergen would be displayed on the jungle and desert maps, and the spare mags on only the GR maps. But they're not. The bergen is only displaying on the jungle maps, and not the desert maps. And the spare mags appear on all the maps. Can anyone help me out?
