Banned IPs during LAN games.

Recommended Posts

For a joke I kicked and banned a mate when hosting at a LAN a while back and after a number weeks I had a LAN with a a different mate and I couldn't host for him because the game said his IP was banned to. I don't understand why anyone is still banned. Where does the game store this information and how can I get it back to the friendly GR that I have come to love ????

If you were doing a LAN party, it could be because your router assigned the second mate the same IP the first one had. For example, if yours was constant at say 192.168.0.1, it would autosign the next PC in the chain 192.168.0.2. Once a PC is disconnected, it frees that addy up again to be assigned to the next PC hooked up.
