q8fire 0
I have problem with lags and sometimes experience crash when i join a game. I have ADSL 512 with speedtouch USB and i have XP. My ISP from Kuwait (this is where i live), as i have spoken to ISP technical support about the lags i experience recently (which i didn't have problem 3-4 months ago) they told me that they put some security on ports due to recent attack by hackers and that is why u r experiencing these lags and that their engineers are finding out solutions to allow users to join games without lags at the same time compromising the protection on their server from hackers. Indeed, long before this problem of lag happened i used to see ping numbers for the rooms in GR lobby but after they put security on ports the pings disappeared. I was wondering if there are any solution for this problem that i could work on until they "FIND SOLUTION" . with regard to ports. is there anyway i could manuevre around their security or is this strictly ISP problem and I can't do anything about it??? please help. SOTOMac 0
Others may have a suggestion for You but If its Your ISP that has changed something - Then I'd have to say that You just might have to wait for those Improvements to be in place when Your ISP gets their Signal Straightened out... Sorry - Wish I had a better suggestion for You... Sincerely,
Brass 0
If you are trying to connect to ubi then you are stuck. If not you can change the ports used in the multiplayer options when you and a friend are getting together. Other than that I dont believe there is anyway around it. Specter 0
From what I can see, there is a router issue between you and the United Arab Emirates that is causing severe packet loss. Your ISP is going to have to get on the horn and have them check on the router at 195.229.28.105. That router is suffering 98% packet loss, which will cause your lag, as the packets are continually retransmitted until they are received correctly causing the lag issue.
