striker 0 Posted October 31, 2003 Share Posted October 31, 2003 Striker here Been away a while, since my Apple Tibook gave in to tropical heat and is beyond repair. Bought a new PC yesterday, everything is fine, got GR Gold Edition (german version) with it. Installed as a first app (heck that's what I bought the box for, don't let the wife know) Anyway, ran first mission and no blood, no wounds, corpses drop intact and disappear after a couple seconds leaving a dark shadow on the ground. Looks like a crime scene drawing. Now don't get me wrong, I don't need blood all over the place, but I always liked the realism of my US Mac version. After all war is hell, depicting it as clean might actually backfire for those who bann gore in games. So is there a modch/patch to convert a german version to US behavior? Can I tweak that with Igor? (Igor wasn't included on the Mac, so I've no idea Any pointers greatly appreciated And now I have to go back and kick some. Just downloaded a full CD worth of mods from this site. Need some training so I be ready to meet you guys when my cable modem arrives striker out Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Zantar45 0 Posted November 1, 2003 Share Posted November 1, 2003 Just about every ''German Version'' of every game has no blood in it.(that I know of) The German version of GR has no blood or bodies and I dont think theres a option to turn it on/off. Best chances are to find a mod that adds blood or a mod that adds ''more'' blood. Of course I could be wrong, hope someone knows something to help you with your problem. My fault, I wanted to have GR back asap and bought the Gold edition in an Austrian store. Normally I order US versions just for that reason, but I didn't want to wait another week. I've seen so called "blood patches" for german versions for other games. They simply undo whatever is down to get rid of the corpses. Was hoping that one existed for GR, that would save me fro m owning GR 3 times. @Zantar Thx that's exactly what I'm looking for, I'm going to do some research on german sites.
