Phantasm6000 0
Hi. Me and my brother both live in seperate houses. We both have a Linksys Wireless G Router, from where we get Cable Modem access. We can connect to online multiplayer games through the UBI-Soft program, however, when either me or my brother try to create a game, so the one of us can connect to it, the other person (me or my brother) cannot connect. Could it be because the Linksys Routers have firewalls? Please help me. Thank you
Specter 0
Yes it can. You need to make sure that ports 2346-2348 are forwarded through your router.

Specter 0
Make sure that the router hasnt vhanged the IP address of your PC or his. And that the ports are forwarded to the correct IP on your LAN. To troubleshoot this, put both PC's in the router's DMZ, and see if you still have the same issue. What this will do is tell you for sure what the issue is. Putting them in the DMZ will unhide both from the internet, and tell you if it is definitely a port forwarding issue. And if you could get me a link to an online manual, or you have one on the CD that came with the router, send it to me, and I'll lay it out for you how it should be set up. If you guys dont have any trouble in the DMZ, then it is definitely a port forwarding, application forwarding, or virtual server issue.
