Chems
Well call it your birthday present bud, happy bday. On a modding note, what worries me is that the SST mod hasnt got any models of this quality in it so people may be a little eeekkk when they get SST cause its not the same standard. But I think SST looks great in game. But you guys can be the judge.
Jack57
The whole concept of SST is so different I don't think anyone will be comparing the two - from what I've seen of the SST betas you can be assured it will be very well received Quote: "Strange child." LMAO Chems, you have knack with words
DWG
Why should I have _ before it? To emphasise that _rigid_ is not spelt the same as _ridge_ Strange child. So people tell me. And as you pointed out yourself you wont see it out of the water so theres no problem with it. Have you checked what the GR engine does when part of a vehicle clips the bottom of a water area? I'm simply concerned it may have too deep a keel to be usable in many of the maps.
Lancer
I have to go along with DWG. The boat is a 'Rigid Raider' not a 'Ridge Raider'.
Stewy
Has anyone seen that funny email that's going around? It's a movie of some pommy soldiers ( I assume in Iraq) that come in on a rigid raider, jump off, looking all war-ie, then GET STUCK IN QUICKSAND! The next footage is soldiers trying to pull them out of waist-deep mud... Nice
Chems
Oh I see, yeah, its one of my stupid brain blocks, I think Rigid raider but type ridge raider, I cant help it my fingers do it on there own. My bad sorry. And nothing happens if the bottom of the model hits the sea bed, it just goes through it. Lol. If only gr were that realistic. Thanks Jack, I hope ppl like SST, as I said I try to be original with my words. Oh yeah completely un related, but I got this exam result back today, for A levels, if you dont know what these are they stand for advanced levels, and are the hardest thing ive ever done, everyone says they are harder than getting a degree. But.... I got my geography AS (first part) result back today and scored a huge fat A, only 6 other people got As out of about 50 people. Anyways...... My bad sorry. And nothing happens if the bottom of the model hits the sea bed, it just goes through it. Spelling glitches happen to everyone. Glad you've checked the model/map interaction. everyone says they are harder than getting a degree. Depends how disciplined you are. With the degree there's only really you to make you do the work. Congratulations on the AS anyway.
rioghan--celt
Ok, I just wanna say that you guys blow me away with your mods. I've never been so obsessed with a game in my life, but you guys keep it worth coming back to. I grew up in Scotland, so I'm pretty into the British Military. Here in U.S. the SAS are the only brits to really get some recognition, and I'm thrilled to hear that you're looking using the SBS as well. I just finished reading Black Water by Don Camsell. It's a great look at the SBS. Anyway, your vehicles all look great and I'm just waiting to get my hands on this mod for some . And it seems you're still working with the best in the business. Only question I want to throw at you is what kind of specialists are you gonna throw in, if any?
Chems
Spec troops are snow troops in this mod. The next mod is the cool dudes. @DWG, thanks for looking out for me/my models Got a new render Also got a new model, new Binos with my own camo job. Also in game, you now have a more conventinal view, no more eclipse shape scope view, its the more standard two circles convered. Ill get a screen tommorow. Also these seem to be the Binos that Ive seen used by a sniper spotter which you will see in the shell screens of the mod. I also got a working Airstrike call in method which Im going to save for the expansion pack. Which will have the SF troopers, SBS and SAS mainly with the SF weapons mp5s etc. The usual. This mod has New night vision inspired by the one from HX5 which I tried my best to re create. Also got some reworked standard mission, basically just a weather change on a few of the night maps, a retextured map for the Mountain map, and the Beach map from DS to day also retextured to Jungle which carries through to the standard DS mission as well. Not to mention all the other things as well. Just thought id tell you that so people who are coming in new can get a feel for whats in the mod. Not to mention the new weps, from Streinger, Earls support weps from Standard Upgrade my additions to Streingers SA80 (under slung grenade launcher) and L96. Also new pistol P228 also with silencer. New map aditions such as the church. New lynx in Desert and green camo. New defender also in desert greenland and also comes with snow operator on board for snow missions. Plus the retextured Wilderness and Fortress map. Also 16 new chrs. New shell screens and the usual changes. New movies. Think thats it all. Oh yeah 2 Jack 57 missions, 1 H Hour mission, 1 from Nexus and another from Giwex. Oh and the ridgid raider.
