en4rcment 0
Hello all!! Just wondering if any of you could point me to where I could download a night version of the swamp map from the original GR. I'll also need to know who retextured it... Thanks!!
snared_gambit 0
If you work with your fog fx, you can make it look exactly like a night map. Try these settings: Near: -20 Far: 45 Layer Range: 45 Layer Height: 10 Clipping Distance: 45 Maxspotting: 40 Then add a night sky, and it should look just like a night map! If it doesn't just fool with the near and far ranges until it does. I'm assuming you don't have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, right en4rcment? If you don't, and the fog trick doesn't work, perhaps someone could make one. It's not too awfully difficult to do with the textures if all you want is a night map of the swamp. en4rcment 0
I do have Photoshop, but I have no idea how to insert a night sky. I just thought that someone had made one by now...
Stalker 0
you can insert the night sky by editing the env file of the map. just open the environment editor in igor and select a skybox from a night map... maybe you should darken the textures and the darkmaps but the swamp map isn't so brighten up
t3K|Murmel2 0
stalker and snared gambit are right. u wont need ps or any other grafic program. just use igor. it is as simple as it sounds. well, by the way, don`t forget to post some screenies
Dannik 43
*FNG*DRx's Serverside Map Pack 4.0 The above server sided pack (meaning that only the host needs to have them installed, even for multiplayer) contains 118 retextures, with at least one or two from every map in GR/DS/IT. It's non-overwriting, and has some great work.
snared_gambit 0
The great en4rcment didn't know how to set up skies? It's in the env editor. It'll have a tab that says sky box or something to that effect. I'm surprised man! You're a great scripter! I only use custom envs for the most part! Don't worry about lightening or darkening the textures. I'll set up a nice env for the swamp if you'd like!
en4rcment 0
The great en4rcment didn't know how to set up skies? I'm a mission scriptor....I've never had any experiences with re-texturing maps. But if the process is as easy as all of you keep saying it is, I will give it a try. Your going to be hearing quite a few questions from me over the next few months...as I have begun work on a "project"... "

snared_gambit 0
I know the feeling. I didn't know how to set up skies a long time ago myself, and it was embaressing. Know, I have 3dsmax, Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop, and am a master of IGOR. Getting good in max and with psp and PS. Good luck!
