Tater
I run a dedicated server. Is there any way to boot or ban someone?
Super-Bob
Yes. Go into the server config, hit escape, in the menu there will be something like Eject Player or something like that, the rest is pretty simple.
Tater
I remember doing that before the 1.4 patch came out, but I didn't see it last I checked. You mean the server info on the ded. server itself right?
Super-Bob
The config when you click on "Edit Server."
Tater
OK, thanks Super Bob. I thought I checked and only saw the vote option, but I'll check again.
Tater
Bob, With the server running as dedicated, I hit edit server and the only thing even close is to allow voting. Is there somewhere else it could be?
Crimson
Click Edit Server. Type in the correct IP and click ok. Hit your Escape key. Click Eject. Select the unlucky soul. Have fun.
Tater
I'm sorry I'm stupid, but isn't there an easier way? I don't know how to find someones I.P. and I don't even see where to type it in to eject.
Crimson
Click Edit Server. Type in the correct IP and click ok. Hit your Escape key. Click Eject. Select the unlucky soul. For a dedicated server? No, this is the only way. You dont need to type in an IP address, you select their name.
Tater
I got the server running right now and for the life of me, I don't see where to eject. The server is running and shows up in a medium size window on the screen. When I hit the edit server tab, I looked under every tab in there and there is nothing that says eject player. I know I've seen it a long time ago, but haven't checked since 1.4 patch. Any idea where it is? This is really ###### me off because I've done it in the past but the only option is to allow voting. Is it a 1.4 thing? Edited January 9, 2003 by Tater
Crimson
Ok. When you go into Edit Server, and your looking at all the objects you can change, press the Escape key on your keyboard. Once you've done that, press the Eject button. After that, choose the unlucky bastage to boot. Edited January 9, 2003 by Crimson
Tater
OK, I'm a complete ######. I missed the hit escape part. Thanks for your patience. DOH
